ATELIER Playa Mujeres is located within the luxurious Playa Mujeres complex, 25 min from downtown Cancun.

Yes, ATELIER Playa Mujeres boasts a privileged location in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in the destination.

3. How far is the resort from the airport?

ATELIER Playa Mujeres is located 30 km/18 miles from Cancun International Airport. It is a trip of approximately 45 minutes.

4. Is the resort beach for adults only?

The beach is federal property, so limiting free passage to the public is not possible. However, ATELIER Playa Mujeres has Balinese beds and lounge chairs in a separate section in the sandy areas. This section does not allow access to minors under 16 years of age.

5. At what times can I access the resort's beach?

Access to the beach is not restricted, so you can enjoy it 24 hours a day. However, keep in mind that swimming is not allowed when the lifeguard is out.

6. Can you swim at the resort beach?

Yes, you can swim in the sea while the lifeguard is on duty, and as long as there is no red flag on the beach, which indicates that the sea's conditions are dangerous.

No, however, you can request a taxi with the concierge team.

Playa Mujeres flaunts a year-round warm weather with few rainy days, the temperatures go from 25°C (77°F) to 32°C (90°F).

10. Does the resort have parking?

Yes, ATELIER Playa Mujeres has a spacious, private parking lot.

11. What are the pool hours?

Pool hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm in Summer and from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm in Winter.

12. Does the resort have wheelchair access?

Yes, ATELIER Playa Mujeres has ramps and wheelchair access to elevators, as well as rooms that are suitable for guests with wheelchairs.

ATELIER Playa Mujeres offers a luxurious all-inclusive plan in which this service is already included in the rate, therefore tips are at each guest's discretion; however, feel free to thank our Arteleros if their service is exceptional.

3. Does the resort offer Day Pass?

4. Does the resort offer ground transportation from the airport?

It's possible to book the transportation service from the airport to ATELIER Playa Mujeres with an additional charge, through the website or by calling the Contact Center. Some rates available on our website include complimentary transportation.

5. Are there ATMs at the resort?

Yes, we have two ATMs inside the property; one is at our BU'TIK, and the other is at the INSPIRA lounge.

6. Can I smoke at the resort?

By official regulations, smoking is prohibited in enclosed areas, suites, restaurants, balconies, and terrace areas. However, there are designated areas for smokers:

  • Outside of the lobby
  • At the beach's north extreme
  • At the beach's south extreme

7. What is the electricity voltage at the resort?

At ATELIER Playa Mujeres the voltage is 127 V.

8. Do all of the restaurants require reservations?

As part of our Surrounding Technology®, we have special modules for making reservations for our specialty restaurants where you can choose the time of your preference, the number of people, allergies, and food restrictions. Our snack bars and cafeterias do not require a reservation.

9. Is the resort pet-friendly?

Yes, ATELIER Playa Mujeres is a Dog Friendly resort. Our Pet-It® Program allows small-breed dogs to stay and enjoy special amenities and services.

2. What does the resort's all-inclusive plan include?

Stays at ATELIER Playa Mujeres include access to the beach, pools, gym, gallery, daytime and nighttime activities, unlimited food and beverages at the 20+ restaurants and bars, plus state-of-the-art suites with Molton Brown® Amenities, Signature Upscale Minibar, Total-Rest Beds®, and Chill-Out Bath®. 3. Which services or facilities are not included in the resort?

The all-inclusive plan at ATELIER Playa Mujeres does not include private dinners, wine from the wine list awarded by Wine Spectator, the culinary experience at the María Dolores restaurant, massages and treatments at NUUP Spa Playa Mujeres, Green Fees at the golf course, Pet-it® Program, motorized sports, organization of special events such as weddings and amenities for honeymooners.

(For INSPIRA guests, some of these services come in their All Inclusive package.)

4. Does the resort feature water sports?

6. What is the difference between Suites and INSPIRA Suites?

The INSPIRA Suites offer more exclusive amenities and services, as well as a strategic location in the resort to enjoy the best views.

1. Which amenities are available at the suites?

All suites at ATELIER Playa Mujeres have a fully stocked minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, digital alarm clock and USB ports, 55'' flat-screen, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, as well as a safe.

2. Which is the maximum number of guests allowed per room?

ATELIER Playa Mujeres suites have a maximum capacity of 2 to 3 guests. For groups of 4 to 12 people, we recommend the INSPIRA Village.

Yes, guests receive bath and beach towels for use within the ATELIER Playa Mujeres facilities.

The INSPIRA Junior Suite Swim Out and INSPIRA Junior Suite Swim Out Ocean View categories have a semi-private pool. The following categories have an outdoor plunge pool:

Suite views depend on the category booked. The suites at ATELIER Playa Mujeres include views of the gardens, the golf course, or the sea. It is important to note that in some categories, it is not possible to guarantee the view.

The minimum age to stay is 16 years, since it is an adults-only resort. However, the reservation holder must be 18 years old at registration and present valid official identification with photograph such as a passport or a driver's license.

1. Is it possible to change my reservation dates?

Yes, all reservations can be changed at any time. However, they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Keep in mind that the rate may increase depending on the season or room category, so you must pay the difference when requesting the change.

INSPIRA guests with stays of 7+ nights have the first complimentary dinner. The second dinner and for stays of less than 6 nights have a 50% discount.
For regular-category guests, dinner is at an additional cost.

Access to the facilities, as well as massages and treatments at NUUP Spa® Playa Mujeres have an additional cost.

3. Which services are offered at NUUP Spa® Playa Mujeres?

NUUP Spa® PlayaMujeres features hairstyling, manicure, hydrotherapy, pedicure, among other treatments to pamper yourself.

4. Which  facilities are offered at NUUP Spa® Playa Mujeres?

The spa offers 18 treatment cabins, changing rooms, relaxation rooms for before or after treatments, a tea and infusion station, a hydrotherapy circuit, and more.

5. Does the resort offer vegetarian options?

ATELIER Playa Mujeres has gluten-free and vegetarian options (the meals are highlighted on the menu). In addition, the Service and Chefs team is available to prepare any specific diet that guests need.

No, it is included with the reservation of selected INSPIRA Suites.

For safety reasons, only dogs with a maximum weight of 10 kilos (22 lbs) are allowed.

Only one dog per suite is allowed.

3. Are there additional charges for bringing my pet?

Yes, your pet's stay is included with your reservation. However, a daily cleaning fee of $50 USD will be charged.

4. Are there designated areas for dogs?

Within ATELIER Playa Mujeres, there are designated areas for the relaxation of dogs. Guests must carry bags to collect their dog's waste and bottled water for hydration.

1. How much anticipation does the resort require to book a wedding?

There is no minimum or maximum time. However, booking the location in advance is recommended, as beach weddings are in high demand regardless of the season.

2. What happens if it rains the day of the wedding or the weather does not allow the event to be held outdoors? 

We always have a plan B for our Weddings Hechas a Mano®. If the weather predicts rain for the day of your beach wedding, we can move the ceremony to the resort's chapel and the reception to an indoor venue. This is subject to availabilty and must be agreed with anticipation.

3. Are wedding guests required to stay at the resort?

Yes, wedding guests must be staying at ATELIER Playa Mujeres. However, if you require to make an exception, please indicate it when contacting our team of wedding planners.

4. Must the wedding be fully paid in advance?

No, only a down payment will be required to lock in the desired date and location.

5. What do the wedding packages include?

1. What kind of electrical adapter should I bring?

Suites are equipped with North American outlets (Type A and some with Type B). We recommend you travel with a universal adapter in case your appliance has a different input than the ones mentioned.

2. Can tap water be drunk?

We do not recommend you drink tap water. You can find bottled water and many other drinks in your suite's mini-bar and the different bars of ATELIER Playa Mujeres.

3. What is the best season to visit the Mexican Caribbean?

The whole year is ideal for visiting the Mexican Caribbean! A few things to consider: it is the sunniest from January to April, but it isn't too hot. There are a few rainy days during summer and autumn, and May to November is the hurricane season.

4. What is the difference between Cancun and Playa Mujeres?

Playa Mujeres is located in the Continental Zone of Isla Mujeres (it is part of the municipality of Isla Mujeres) and is only 25 min from the city of Cancún, which is part of the municipality of Benito Juárez.

5. Can my vacation be affected by seaweed on the beaches?

At ATELIER Playa Mujeres, we keep the beach clean of both seaweed and trash. In addition, the arrival of microalgae is not so recurrent along this coastal strip. Likewise, there are hundreds of activities to do both inside and outside the resort, so your vacation won't be affected.
